my apologies, but in my humble opinion the word ‘marriage’ is formed from the same stem as the word ‘marry’ does. And I'm absolutely sure that people of any sex could be marry if they like it in any possible combination. But as I know for some understood intercourse between people we use not the word 'marry' but the word 'gay'. Though being of the same meaning it nevertheless is of a different stem.
